The FGH Tower will host the headquarters of one of the largest industrial and financial groups in Cameroon. Located in Douala, an international port and the economic capital not only of the country but also of the entire central African region, the building is an illustration of Cameroon’s economic and technological dynamism.
Due to its spectacular shape, both gracious and strong, our tower project is designed as a beacon, a truly iconic building in the city of Douala. Built above three subterranean levels, the structure has two patios, themselves organized around two basins. This architectural pedestal includes car parks and services (conference halls, a company restaurant, and a gymnasium). The terrain is entirely landscaped and a spectacular footbridge crosses the two basins and leads to an entrance hall.
The tower is 30 storeys tall. Hosting the offices of the group’s president, the last two floors, topped by a glass and steel cupola, boast a garden and a sky terrace. The FGH Tower is also a technological showroom. The double-skinned facades are super-ventilated, and photovoltaic panels adorned with traditional loincloth motifs are integrated into the sun‑breaks, generating electricity and reducing energy requirements.
