Located at the gateway to the Mercantour Park, Saint-Sauveur-sur-Tinée, traditionally crossed by travelers en route to Auron or Isola, is reinventing itself as a sustainable mountain destination. The municipality has launched an ambitious urban program: the creation of a parking silo at the town’s entrance, a natural swimming pool, a SDIS (fire and rescue service facility), the development of the Rio Sud park, and improved access to the lower part of the village.
The highlight of this project is the rehabilitation of the former “Eaux et Forêts” building, which will soon house “La Fario, Tinée Eco-Cultural Space.” This versatile venue will include cultural and sports facilities (exhibition rooms, cinema, immersive shows, climbing), shops, a tourist office, a coworking space, housing, as well as offices for the National Forestry Office (ONF) and the Mercantour National Park.
Designed as a true urban landmark, La Fario will serve as a structuring focal point at the entrance of the commune, harmonizing with neighboring developments. Its strategic location and elegant architecture represent a decisive step for the eco-cultural influence of Saint-Sauveur-sur-Tinée.
